As Maggie called older, I attempted to take it lightly by saying to her, hey old girl, or hey old fart.  But she was getting to be in bad condition.  We think she must've had severe pain in her hips, because she would not lay down until she was so exhausted that she would collapse.  One night clear in my head was the last time she would ever rest her head on my knee, wanting my food.  I had cheetohs, and as normal, I laughed as she rested her head on my knee, not knowing it would be the last time she would ever be able to do it.  I so badly wanted to give her some cheetohs, but my mom would'nt let me.  A couple weeks later, she kept getting stuck in the day, and paced around all night, so my parents decided that it was time.  In the morning, we said our good byes.  I cried as I hugged her and told her that she was the best dog in the world and that I loved her a lot.  She peacefully went to sleep in my parents arms at the vet while I was at school.
